Faxo Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2, 2026
Faxo lets you send and receive faxes. This policy explains the information handled by the Faxo Android app and the Faxo service. Questions can be sent to dev.appbroker@gmail.com.
Information we handle
- Account information: Faxo creates an account to keep your faxes and purchases together. If you connect Google sign-in, we receive your Google account identifier and email address. We store session information needed to keep you signed in.
- Fax information: We process the documents you upload, the sending and receiving fax numbers, page counts, fax status, and delivery times. A received fax is stored in your account so you can open it in the app.
- Purchases: Google Play handles payment details. We receive purchase identifiers and status so we can verify subscriptions, grant credits, and handle refunds. We do not receive your full payment card number.
- Device and service information: We use device signals to protect account creation and prevent abuse. If you enable notifications, we store a device notification token. We record limited request and delivery diagnostics, including a request ID and timing. Source IP addresses can be used for abuse controls.
- Support information: If you contact us, we use the information you provide to answer your request. Please do not email the contents of a fax document to support.
How we use and share information
We use this information to deliver faxes, show your history, manage your fax number and purchases, send service notifications, troubleshoot failures, and protect the service. Fax documents and fax numbers are sent to Telnyx to transmit or receive faxes. Google Play provides purchase verification; Google services provide sign-in, app-integrity checks, and push notifications when enabled. A fax recipient receives the pages you choose to send.
We do not sell your fax documents or use their contents for advertising.
Storage and retention
Fax documents stored by Faxo are protected with encryption at rest. The service removes stored fax documents under its document-retention setting; fax status and transaction records may remain longer so you can see your history and we can handle billing, support, and abuse reports. Providers and recipients may retain copies under their own policies. Deleting a document in the app removes Faxo's stored copy; it cannot recall a fax already delivered to a recipient.
Your choices and deletion
You can delete documents and request deletion of your Faxo account from the app. You can also use our account deletion page after uninstalling the app. Account deletion removes your Faxo account, fax documents, and associated account records from the active service. Information held by Google Play, Telnyx, recipients, or required for legitimate security or legal reasons may be handled separately.
You can turn off notifications in Android settings. You can cancel a subscription through Google Play.
Changes and contact
We may update this page as the service changes. The date at the top shows the current version. Contact dev.appbroker@gmail.com with privacy questions or deletion requests.
